Energy Efficiency Investment Fund for Non-Profits
Delaware, for organisations that do not pay the Public Utility Tax
Energize Delaware
Delaware splits its efficiency funding by whether you pay the Public Utility Tax. This is the half for the organisations that do not, which is most schools, local government and non-profits.
What the program actually pays for
- Eligible applicants are Delaware schools, local governments and non-profit organisations that do not pay the Public Utility Tax.
- Prescriptive grants cover lighting and controls, HVAC, water heating, and food service and refrigeration equipment.
- Custom grants cover site-specific energy projects and require pre-approval.
- The fund will not pay more than 60 percent of the energy efficiency related project costs, up to $250,000 per individual address per calendar year.
- Separate solar grants exist for non-profits, public libraries and school districts.
Timing. The program is funded through 30 June 2026.
