1. Overview

Who issues this warranty. ECO LED is a d/b/a of LIBULBS. The warranty below is given by LIBULBS of 18670 Coastal Highway #1050, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, trading as ECO LED.

ECO LED ("we," "us," or the "Company") warrants the LED lighting products we supply and the installation work we perform against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms, periods, conditions and exclusions set out in this policy.

This policy applies to all commercial and industrial lighting upgrade projects completed by ECO LED, including projects delivered through utility energy-efficiency and rebate programs.

2. Definitions

  • Products. LED fixtures, lamps, retrofit kits, drivers, occupancy sensors and lighting controls supplied by ECO LED.
  • Installation Services. The labour performed by ECO LED or its licensed subcontractors to remove existing fixtures and install Products at the Covered Site.
  • Customer. The property owner or tenant named on the project agreement or work order.
  • Covered Site. The facility address identified on the project agreement.
  • Warranty Start Date. The date the Products were installed, or the invoice date, whichever applies to the order. Supply-only orders run from the invoice date.

3. Product warranty

ECO LED warrants that Products supplied will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for 5 years from the product installation date or the invoice date.

All Products supplied are DesignLights Consortium (DLC) certified or equivalent. Where a manufacturer publishes a longer warranty period for a specific Product, the longer period applies to that Product. Where a manufacturer publishes a shorter period, the manufacturer's period governs and will be disclosed on the project documentation.

Lumen depreciation is not a defect unless output falls below the Product's published L70 rating within the warranty period under rated operating conditions.

Products received through a rebate program. Even if you didn't purchase the product from us and received it through a rebate, please send us the information and we'll do our best to get you a warranty.

4. Installation workmanship warranty

ECO LED warrants Installation Services against defects in workmanship for 1 year from the product installation date or the invoice date. Covered workmanship issues include improper mounting, faulty connections made by our installers, and fixtures installed contrary to manufacturer instructions.

Workmanship coverage does not extend to the condition of pre-existing building wiring, circuits, conduit, switching, junction boxes or supporting structures. Where existing infrastructure is found to be deficient or out of code, we will report the condition to the Customer. Correction is performed under a separate scope at the Customer's cost.

5. Utility rebate program projects

Where a project is completed under a utility energy-efficiency or rebate program, the following applies:

  • This warranty is provided by ECO LED. The participating utility, program administrator and any implementation contractor are not parties to it and assume no warranty obligation.
  • Program-specific terms, inspection rights and measurement-and-verification requirements set out in the Customer's program participation agreement apply in addition to this policy.
  • Removal of Products from the Covered Site, or modification of the installed system, may affect both this warranty and the Customer's continued eligibility under the program.

6. Remedy

For a valid claim within the applicable warranty period, ECO LED will, at its option:

  1. Provide replacement parts (driver, LED board, sensor or comparable component) at no charge; or
  2. Provide a replacement fixture, which may be offered at a discounted rate where only parts are covered; or
  3. Repair the affected Product or installation.

Labour. Warranty labour is included during the 1-year workmanship period. After that period, replacement parts remain covered under section 3, but removal, re-installation, lift or access equipment and site labour are the Customer's responsibility.

Freight. Outbound freight on warranty parts is covered. Return shipping of failed Products is the Customer's responsibility.

Replacement Products may be new or reconditioned to new-equivalent standard, and may differ in model where the original is discontinued, provided performance is equal or better. Replacement Products carry the remainder of the original warranty period and do not restart it.

This is the Customer's sole and exclusive remedy under this policy.

7. Conditions of coverage

Coverage requires all of the following:

  • Products were installed by ECO LED or a licensed electrician, in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable electrical code.
  • Products have been operated within their published electrical, ambient temperature, humidity and environmental ratings.
  • Products have not been modified, repaired, repainted or altered by any party other than ECO LED or its authorised representative.
  • Products delivered but not immediately installed were stored indoors, dry, and within rated storage conditions by the Customer.
  • The Customer's account is current and the project has been paid in full.
  • Notice of the defect is provided within thirty (30) days of discovery.
