Pepco
Maryland's EmPOWER framework pays a share of total project cost rather than a rate per unit, and the share depends on the size of your electrical demand. Smaller facilities do better.
What the program actually pays for
- Incentives can pay for up to 70 percent of the total project cost.
- Small Business, meaning a monthly demand of 100 kW or less, is covered up to 70 percent of the total project cost.
- Medium and Large Business, meaning a monthly demand over 100 kW, is covered up to 50 percent of the total project cost.
- Business Instant Discounts take money off lighting and HVAC upgrades at the point of purchase through participating distributors.
- Separate routes exist for new construction and major renovations, building tune-up, multifamily property and combined heat and power.
