ENERGY CONSERVATION PROPOSAL
Prepared for [Business Name]
[Building Address] · Prepared by ECOLED · Valid for 30 days
44 fixtures upgraded to LED · 7,332 kWh saved per year · [Your Utility] rebate: $8,000.00
* Assumes the [Your Utility] rebate and [Other Incentives] are approved. Without [Other Incentives], the cost is $5,333.33; without either, $13,333.33.
1. Your project at a glance
| Annual lighting cost | kWh / year | Cost / year |
|---|---|---|
| Today (existing lighting) | 15,316 | $1,252.45 |
| After upgrade (LED) | 7,984 | $652.88 |
| Electricity savings | 7,332 | $599.57 |
| Maintenance savings (State Technical Resource Manual) | $308.00 | |
| Total annual savings | $907.57 | |
| Total five-year savings | $4,537.83 |
The lighting uses about 15,316 kWh a year today. After the LED upgrade that drops to about 7,984 kWh, roughly half. That saves about $600 a year on electricity, plus $308 a year in lamp and ballast replacements.
2. Your cost breakdown
| What you pay | Amount |
|---|---|
| Total project cost | $13,333.33 |
| Less: [Your Utility] rebate | ($8,000.00) |
| Project co-pay | $5,333.33 |
| Less: [Other Incentives] | ($5,332.33) |
| Your cost | $1.00 |
| Payback: rebate + incentives / rebate only / neither | Immediate / 5.9 yrs / 14.7 yrs |
If the rebate or incentives are not approved, the owner is told before anything moves forward, and the project is cancelled unless they ask to continue.
3. Scope of work
| Existing fixture | Watts | Qty | LED replacement | Watts | Watts saved |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High bay, round HPS 250W | 210 | 30 | LED UFO high bay, 120W, 0-10V dimmable, 5000K | 120 | 2,700 |
| 4 ft strip, F40T12 2-lamp | 97 | 14 | LED linear strip, 28W, 0-10V dimmable, 4 ft | 28 | 966 |
| Total | 44 | 3,666 |
| Calculation | Value |
|---|---|
| Operating hours: 8 hrs/day × 5 days/week × 50 weeks/year | 2,000 hrs/yr |
| Annual kWh savings: 3,666 W × 2,000 hrs ÷ 1,000 | 7,332 kWh |
| Effective electricity rate | $0.0818/kWh |
| Annual electricity savings | $599.57 |
Why we need the utility bill: the effective rate is the total charges on the bill divided by the total kWh used. That captures all the delivery fees, surcharges and taxes, not just the energy rate the utility quotes.
4. Warranty
Products: five years, unless the product’s own warranty says otherwise. Installation: one year, when ECO LED does the install.
The full assessment also includes the rebate and incentive paperwork and the installation agreement for the owner to sign.
